SIAMESE TWINS

By THE CURE

  • Robert Smith - Guitar, Voice, Keyboards
  • Simon Gallup - Bass
  • Laurence Tolhurst - Drums

Inspiration/Influence/Band Comment:

ROBERT SMITH: ‘Siamese Twins’ was written about the ugliness of love:” It’s despairing, as if I was getting rid of a whole piece of me. I thought I wouldn’t be able to keep the two parts of my personality, that the balance was impossible. Once ‘Siamese Twins’ was written, I realised I didn’t want the other side of it anyway - that it was seductive and exciting but in a deranged sort of way, that there was no substance to it. I had to detach myself from a lifestyle”.

ROBERT SMITH: “Is about the hate and purity of people fucking too…”
